This is my newest page and it is for Cathie's (Clevelandgirlie) sketchbook in the Girlfriends round robin. Cathie's theme is "words of wisdom" so I used some favorite lines from a James Taylor song. They say: "The Secret of Life is Enjoying the Passage of Time. There Ain't Nothing to it. Anyone Can do it. Try Not to Try Too Hard. It's Just a Lovely Ride."I used an antique doily, tye dyed fabric, and dyed tissue paper all done on some fancy textured scrapbook paper.
Now it is winging its way to Joss in England!
I love the doily and buttons...words are nice too...lovely lovely page has a feeling of timeliness...my times....; -)

ReplyDeleteKate, this is a gorgeous sketchbook page, and I love the tie dyed doily, colored buttons and the words from the James Taylor song, it all ties together so veru beautifully! I have Mim's book now (my last one) and I have an idea of how to do her page, so I need to get to work on it.

ReplyDeleteI just have to add here as I know have Cathie's book in hand, that the pages are all so awesome and SO MUCH MORE than we can see on the computer. I feel this way every time I get a book to add to.
